Some Frequently Asked Questions

Who are we?

We are a group of people across Ireland who share an interest in helping others where we can, finding new ways to satisfy the needs in our lives, and connecting with people who share our interests.

Why are we here?

We want to reconnect people in their communities, save money, be creative, provide goods and services to each other in a nicer and healthier way, and while doing so, have fun!

How does it work?

All you need to do is ask for something you need. If another member can help then they can get in touch. If you have something to offer then you can offer it, and if somebody wants it then they can let you know.

Do I need to do anything in return?

No. The idea is to give freely to the group just for the love of it! Of course if you can do something for anyone else in the group then it would be much appreciated.

What kind of things can I ask for?

Just about anything! You can ask for an old sofa, guitar lessons or a lend of a book. You could ask if someone has a spare rocketship if you like. It doesn't really matter what you ask for. Just ask!

How much does it cost?

Absolutely nothing! In fact the entire Gift Economy is based on everyone giving freely without any money or barter needed.
